History, like memories, is an unfair judge. Many important facts, figures and names are disapperaring in a giant black hole. Like sand sifting through fingers the time is passing.

The industry we have been celebrating at the Golden Drum for seventeen years hasn’t been progressing on its own alone. Without its fighters and dreamers, without its friends and believers, without its heroes, our drums wouldn’t have turned to gold.

If we believe in a mission for the future, we have responsibilities to the past and to those who have built the present. Without it, everything and everyone will bel ost in space.

At the and of one chapter the Golden Drum has decided to establish the GOLDEN DRUM NEW EUROPE HALL OF FAME. On the marble wall of Bernardin’s Congress Hall where we are meeting year by year, names of men of merit are engraved for time immemorial.

I know the list we are presenting today is not finish yet. But I don’t know better jury for new nomination as our first jubilees are.

Because history is not finished yet.
